[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]“The beginning is the most important part of the work” and following this wisdom, Grace Valley Indian School recognizes the importance of kindergarten years.

The educational model used for kindergarten education is based on the belief that learning and playing in an enriched environment from a young age will give students opportunities to realize their potential in social, academic and physical needs. During these years Our Kiddies work with highly energetic and multi- talented teachers who focus on the needs of students, recognizing that intelligence manifests itself in many ways and thus must be developed and fostered using many teaching strategies. English language acquisition in particular is encouraged in natural ways including real life daily experiences to which students can “attach” their new language skills.

The student in kindergarten is through student centered learning activities introduced to English language arts, mathematics, science, art, and physical education. Learning centers, activities which encourage inquiry, direct instruction, and other teaching strategies provide the basis for the educational experience of each child and make them feel like a world not less than their home.  Small class size provides students with greater teacher contact time and the opportunity to receive individualized guidance and academic instruction.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
